Update Thursday, January 15, 2015:
Our 38th year growing vegetables for the local community.
This is always an exciting time of year for us because we get to dream big about what we want to grow. We order the majority of our seeds for the entire year now. We have started our tomato seedlings, so we have already started the 2015 season! January seeding for late June harvest. By March we will be heating our seedling greenhouse and start up many more crops. We are planing on growing more variety then ever this year!
2015 Milestones to look forward to:
March - April: early greens (spinach, etc)
May (early) Asparagus, start of Farmers' Markets, opening on Farm Stand
June (mid - late) Strawberries and our Strawberry Social
August: Sweet corn and Pick Your Own Sunflower Weekend.
We are currently accepting employment applications for the 2015 growing season. Please send your resume to Jane Pomykala at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are a small family farm on beautiful Lake Champlain in Vermont. Our passion is growing beautiful fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers on 70 acres of land in Grand Isle. We started farming in 1977 and have been at if ever since, supplying fresh local produce to customers at farmers markets, restaurants and supermarkets. Come and visit our home farm stand and get a real sense of how great it feels to buy local.
